Alfredo-like pasta with Broccoli

This is an alteration of a Rachel Ray recipe that I made today and we all enjoyed.
GF Pasta for 4 people
5 cups broccoli florets, plus 2 cups peeled and finely chopped stems
2 cloves garlic
3 TBS Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tsp lemon zest
3 grilled chicken breasts.
Cook pasta. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water. Salt and pepper chicken. Cook in a pan in EVOO. Cut up broccoli, then roll in oil and salt. Bake in the oven at 375F for 15 or 20 minutes until starting to get slightly crispy. (our favorite way to have broccoli) In processor finely chop stems and garlic. Heat EVOO in pan over medium heat. Add chopped stems and zest;cook 3 minutes. Add 1/4 cup water; cook 5 minutes. Mix pasta, baked florets, reserved pasta water, sauteed stems, pepper and salt (for the parmesan I omitted. Bummer, I know). Put in your favorite serving platter and wallah! You may garnish it with chopped italian parsley or green onion slices.
