- This is a spin off of the easy dip I made before going gluten and dairy free. It involves sour cream and Lipton's onion soup dry seasoning. I love to dip veggies in this! It was the easiest dip, and when put together it was rather magical. This is that dip reborn. If you can have tofutti sour cream you could make it that way as well. For other sour cream subs go here!
- Here is the seasoning that you add to the dairy free sour cream (see link below). I would use 1/3 to 1/2 of this seasoning recipe for on 6oz of homemade sour cream (below)
- 8 teaspoons dried onion flakes
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
Directions:
- 1Mix ingredients well.
- 2Store in airtight container for up to six months.
I found this while surfing on cookingglutenfree.blogspot.com She found it at:http://www.food.com/recipe/dry-onion-soup-mix-substitute-223023#ixzz20wRpNmKo
It will go perfectly with this easy dairy free sour cream recipe that she had on her blog here.
