Experiments in the Kitchen

For my Dad's Birthday I took Trader Joe's brownies and used apple sauce instead of the oil it calls for. It made them light and fluffy almost like cake. Then I took some Trader Joe's coconut cream and whipped it (see here). I spread it on top and decorated it with colorful fruit. I was so excited about the brownies because although I previously like them ok, they ended up quite hard and oily. This is just what they needed. If you have a Trader Joe's near you, I'd highly recommend it. Or if you have another brownie mix or recipe, give it go!
