Give Away!

I will be giving away one of my all time favorite cookbooks at 8pm PST on Friday (tomorrow).  I love this cookbook because not only does it have food that is wholesome and nutritious, it is absolutely delicious. I think if you are trying to take out a few foods  from your diet it is the most important cookbook to have. If you are doing an elimination diet, I think it is an absolute must for your arsenal. It tells everything from how to cook unusual grains, to substitutes for baking powder that are corn free, to granola, to sugar-free chocolate truffles. It has received 5 out of 5 stars from 90 people on Amazon. Basically, this cookbook is the bomb.

I will tell you more about it below. But first, how do you enter? In your comment below, tell me your favorite allergy-friendly ready made food or ingredient you buy on a regular basis. (i.e. Tofutti Sour Cream).  I will randomly choose one person when the deadline comes. I will post who won on the blog (your first name), and give you an e-mail address that you can write to, to give me your snail mail mailing address. I will have Amazon send it directly to you.

The authors are a dynamic duo. Here is what they  have to say about themselves. Alissa Segersten received her Bachelor’s of Science from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. She is the previous owner of a Personal Chef business in Seattle, Washington.

Tom Malterre received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Nutrition from Bastyr University and is licensed by the state of Washington as a Certified Nutritionist. Tom travels throughout the United States and Canada lecturing at conferences on topics such as Vitamin D, Gluten Intolerance, and Digestive Health.

Here is what Amazon has to say about it:

  2. This looks like a great cookbook!! I have subscribed in MyYahoo and previously subscribed with my email. However, I may have done something wrong because I don't think I'm getting them in my email. My favorite allergy friendly product is Lisanatti Foods Almond Cheese because life is just not the same without cheese! I also love Almond Breeze 40 calorie almond milk.

  3. This cookbook looks very inspiring! Our favorite allergy-friendly product lately is Garlic Jim's gluten-free, dairy-free frozen pizza, "Take a Free Ride." It's quite good and my daughter is so thrilled to have pizza again. Schar pastas are also hard to beat.

  4. This cookbook looks like a wealth of information. My favorite allergy-friendly ready-made is Enjoy Life brand Cocoa Loco Chewy Bars. They are a staple for this newbie to allergy-friendly eating. I can grab one for breakfast on the way out the door. I always have one in my purse just in case I can't find a suitable allergy-friendly snack or meal. To date all of the Enjoy Life brand items I have tried are good as are the recipes from their website. I haven't ventured out much on ready-made stuff from there so I look forward to trying out what everyone is recommending. Thanks for sharing.
