Review of Applegate Farms Hot Dogs

I know the words "hot dog" and "health food" can seem to be oxy-morons. I was feeling that way, and frustrated at how hard it can be to find a hotdog that is gluten and dairy free. Then one day I stumbled upon these hot dogs at Fred Meyer. They cost over $8 (choke), but then if you think of all of the meals they can give that are allergy friendly, it makes that price a little easier to swallow.  I found this info on Applegate Farms Website below. They have got it going on. Gluten Free, Casein free, Dairy Free, Low Carb Hot dogs. Not to mention organic and grass fed. I must admit that there was a day that I didn't enjoy a hot dog. But that has changed a little over the years. And these have so much goodness going on, I don't feel nearly as bad eating one. On the barbecue, these little doggies are down right delicious.

Here is what their website has to say about them:

The Great Organic Beef Hot Dog

Made from 100% organic grass-fed and finished beef, these lean hot dogs are bursting with old-fashioned classic hot dog flavor—juicy, flavorful and delicious! These dogs have only 8 grams of fat compared to the average 15 grams in most brands, and because they’re made from grass-fed beef, they’re also high in omega-3 fatty acids (the good fat). Great on the grill or steamed on your stovetop any time you’re craving a taste of summer.
